An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Structured Transactions Group within Lloyds TSB as a Structured Transactions Accountant in London. The Group consists of a team of high-level transactors including tax experts, lawyers and analysts. The team executes transactions to build a balanced portfolio. Increasingly, the team structures transactions for the benefit of other business units within Lloyds TSB. The STG team is supported by Middle Office, a small team of 6 including all aspects of risk, tax compliance and operations. This is an opportunity to join a challenging area with business plans to grow.

The STG middle office works closely with the Structured Transactions Group. This is a new advisory role which sits with the Structured Transactions Group in order to advise on booking and controls for new structures. The ideal candidate will be central to the bank interfacing with finance, tax, operations and front office. Other responsibilities include:
• Using Excel spreadsheets to model transactions for forecasting and monitoring
• Taking responsibility for ongoing maintenance for complex transactions
• Liaising between the STG deal team, Finance and back office
• Analytical review of management accounts
• Trouble shooting
• Assisting Head of Middle Office, STG

Who we're looking for
Whilst a technical understanding of structured products, systems and processes is an advantage, training will be given where required. Candidates need to be highly numerate and are likely to have an Accountancy qualification.

The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, a good team member, well-organised and prepared for a hands-on role.
