Due to the ever-changing nature of the company, the Finance team requires a Financial Accountant. Based in North Yorkshire you will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting. The role will involve preparing statutory accounts for the company, plus corporate tax and VAT returns. For the right candidate, there will be an opportunity to manage a small team and become involved with commercial decisions.
You will be expected to liaise closely with a number of Directors from other departments, in order to improve understanding of departmental requirements from a financial perspective and to increase ownership of all financial aspects of the business. For the right candidate, there will be an opportunity to improve reporting requirements and other KPIs of the business. This role will provide a thorough introduction to all products the company offers and areas of the business.
Who we're looking for
Only qualified Accountants (ACA, ACCA) with a sense of drive, determination and enthusiasm, and the ability to stand on their own two feet will be suited to my client's thriving organisation. Ideally you will have experience of completing the statutory accounts for a PLC, and have previously worked within a large organisation.
You will be able to communicate your ideas and requirements effectively, and you will have the confidence to challenge the status quo and provide solutions to issues if they arise. Creative and proactive individuals are encouraged to apply.
