Based within your designated territory each Account Manager will have a number of key responsibilities:
• Achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets by selling into a variety of clients in both the private and public sector ranging from orthopaedic surgeons, plaster technicians, orthotists, physiotherapists, physicians and purchasing departments.
• Proactively develop new and existing relationships through regular visits and thorough territory planning, promoting the DJO name and representing the company name in a professional manner at all times.
• Attend and promote DJO at exhibitions nationally and locally as may be required, actively selling the company's range of products at such events.
• Ensure continual market awareness in your designated territory and provide regular intelligence reports to your respective line manager.
• Support all local and national marketing strategies and actively make suggestions for new initiatives. Ensure that your personal product and sector knowledge is kept up to date by regular attendance at training programmes as well as providing high quality training support for your key clients, liaising with the International Training Manager where appropriate.
Who we're looking for
Primarily you will be an experienced sales person with a demonstrable track record of success in an account management and field sales environment. Undoubtedly you will be an effective relationship builder with the ability to maintain and develop regular contact at all levels of an organisation. Coupled with your attention to detail and commitment to the business, you will be a fluent and articulate communicator with strong negotiation skills. You will be an effective time manager and with the maturity to work independently. Ideally you will have a sound knowledge of the medical sector, preferably medical devices, and have sold through the various channels that are synonymous with DJO.
