Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will manage the design, installation & acceptance processes for a range of new plant, equipment and facilities. You will also be responsible for managing the implementation of innovative solutions & design changes for existing plant operations. Working within a small team and with little supervision, you will be expected to use your own initiative to deliver projects within specification and on time. This requires an individual that is extremely organised and capable of clearly communicating with contract designers, manufacturers and colleagues. You will liaise with and manage on-site contractors, ensuring that they comply with Company SHE procedures.
Who we're looking for
Educated to degree level or apprentice trained, you will be a self motivated and task orientated Project Engineer within a small to medium sized business, ideally related to the metals industry. You will have managed and sourced contractors and will have a strong design background using Autodesk and Pro-E products, as well as having excellent interpersonal skills. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a fast growing, entrepreneurial business with excellent career prospects.
About our client
Metalysis is a venture-capital backed Company that is exploiting the novel FFC Cambridge process to enter a variety of high-value metal and alloy markets, including tantalum and titanium. The environmentally favourable process reduces many metal oxides to their metals in a molten salt electrolyte at a fraction of the operating and capital cost of conventional technologies. Based in Rotherham, Metalysis has raised over £20m in the past three years to commercialise this technology. The Company is now looking to scale-up the process and is investing heavily in new machinery and equipment. To support these activities Metalysis is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Project Engineer.
