The role will be to continually analyse customer behaviour within our mortgage portfolio understanding performance, providing clear insight into business trends and key issues and recommending appropriate actions to improve performance of the mortgage business.
More specifically:-
Conduct effective analysis and insight providing a clear understanding of performance and areas for improvement.
Identify key issues and trends ensuring the mortgage business is constantly aware potential risks and opportunities associated with plan.
Liaise with planning and analysis to ensure a full suite of MI is available.
Analyse performance against plan and challenge current thinking to optimise business opportunities.
Proactively develop and challenge proposals to ensure they provide the best return on investment in terms of acquiring and retaining customers.
Constant monitoring and refining key business assumptions.
Closely monitor performance identifying issues before they arise, proposing solutions and contingencies, ensuring that future activities are on the radar.
Work and communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure effective use of analysis, insight and MI.
Identifying opportunities to improve performance in relation to the mortgage portfolio and associated income streams.
Ensuring that planned benefits of all activities are realised across the team, challenging both proposals and results where appropriate.
Effective working relationship with all key stakeholders
Who we're looking for
Ideal candidate:-
3 year experience of advanced data analysis in a Consumer Lending environment
Proven track record showing high level of numerate ability
Experienced and competent in the use of computer software packages for handling large date files and/or scorecard development applications eg, SAS SPSS
Highly numerate with a degree in mathematical or similar numerate subject
Strong knowledge of risk assessment techniques and strong analytical ability/ data mining.
Experienced in data interpretation with the ability to work to a high level of details and accuracy
Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills
