This role will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to manage the office and help continue the tremendous success so far enjoyed by this firm. As the chief accountant you will be responsible for four main facets of the business these are:
• Client liaison
• Liaising with HMRC with regard to enquiries
• Construct client accounts from incomplete records
• Self Assessment returns (CIS)
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have a natural feel for the accounts that contractors in the construction industry commonly have over the course of the financial year. You will also be experienced in completing and filing CISself-assessments on behalf of a large volume of clients. You will have to demonstrate integrity, fairness and a calm and measured personality. Finally experience of having dealt with HMRC inquiries would be of significant advantage.
