The team operates at the very highest level in and has two main functions:
Firstly, they are responsible for the strategy & planning of the entire Group. This involves working with the CEO, the Board and the Chairman of the Board working on the strategy for the business globally.
Secondly they undertake the strategy & planning for the Retail Bank. This includes looking at the worldwide strategy for all their business units. This would involve working at the CEO level of each of the Business Units or alternatively with the appropriate board member.
Some of the features of this team are:
• This team is extremely visible.
• Everyone (Associates to Directors) will have client contact with the senior management i.e. CEO's & the Board.
• This team is seen as the talent pool for the bank and is an ideal place for Strategists who want to develop their banking skills and experience to learn about the bank and then progress into a business area.
•Candidates will be ambitious, will want to further their career within the business.
Who we're looking for
This division only employs the highest calibre strategists as such you will have the following background:
• Previous experience in a recognised strategy consulting firm.
• As well as strategy consulting experience, any experience of a blue-chip corporate environment or financial services company is a plus
• Numeric and financial modelling experience a plus
• Strong project and relationship building skills essential
• Fluency in English is essential - a 2nd language is a plus.
• Highly educated - many of the team have an MBA qualification.
