KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and distribute the workload of the team, ensuring regular team meetings take place
• Carry out contribution management for team members and ensure development plans are in place
• Ensure that effective and controlled processes are in place to ensure that:
• only appropriately authorised, new funds are added to the correct systems and platforms, accurately and on a timely basis.
• all fund data changes are appropriately validated and authorised and correctly communicated and updated on the systems of relevant parties
• Ensure all funds administered by SLI do so in accordance with SL's policies.
• Ensure SLI provides a proactive service in relation to fund operations.
• Ensure all relevant Key Performance Indicators and MI are gathered to ensure that SL's business interests are protected and EFM services are satisfactory.
• Ensure a robust process is in place for the monitoring, collection and accounting for rebates on EFL's;
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with:
• SLSL (Platform Centre) contacts to ensure the provision of high quality EFM performance, and
• SLI to ensure high quality fund administration service; through agreed Service Level Agreement and adherence to Key Performance Indicators.
• EFMs at appropriate operational level
• UKFS Marketing to ensure the delivery of investment fund offering and literature required by the business
• UKFS Finance contacts and ensure the provision of reports required to enable effective policy making
• Undertake project work to support the development of robust and effective fund operations processes and controls
Who we're looking for
TECHNICAL CRITERIA REQUIRED
Essential:
• Qualified Accountant.
• Typically a minimum of 2 years experience in a Financial Services or Accounting or investment administration environment.
• Good knowledge of UK and International statutory and regulatory reporting environment and requirements.
• Experience of investment management, life company investment accounting requirements and outsourced fund management activities.
• Ability to produce first-class output in line with demanding deadlines, whilst adapting to changing external requirements.
Desirable
• Knowledge of EFLs and accounting for these.
• Experience of managing a team
