Premier Foods is the UK's largest food company with 2007 turnover in excess of £2.2 billion. Its Ambient
Division, with leading brands such as Branston, Sharwoods, Bisto and Loyd Grossman, operates out
of a Head Office in St Albans with 18 manufacturing sites across the country. As a consequence of
acquisition activity, there is considerable focus on driving improved performance across all aspects of
the Supply Chain including service, automation, quality, cost and safety. Additionally, with a significant
rationalisation programme underway, Supply Chain Finance must maintain a very tight grip on the delivery
of cost saving targets.We are therefore seeking an outstanding individual to lead these activities for what is one of the largest supply chain organisations in the country
.
Key responsibilities:
Leading and developing a team of over 60
through 8 direct reports.
Acting as a true business partner to the Supply
Chain Director.
Adding real value to the business through quality
and accuracy of information.
Providing financial input into the development of
strategic plans.
Taking ownership of reporting and control of
capital expenditure and restructuring
costs/benefits.
Who we're looking for
Qualified Accountant with strong track record in multi-site manufacturing. An inspirational leader with excellent people management skills. Able to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of a matrix organisation. Able to influence, communicate and present to Group senior management. management skills.
