Responsibilities:
To ensure the successful delivery of LAN and WAN support and troubleshooting, participate in the design and implementation of new networking technologies and network infrastructure services and implement process and procedures for the rapid provisioning of systems and applications
• Cisco routing and switching configuration and troubleshooting
• LAN and WAN design, implementation and network optimisation
• Deployment of network and communication infrastructure for new ATM machines
• Vendor management
• Network monitoring
• Maintenance of existing communications links and provisioning of new communications links for the bank
• To undertake and successfully complete projects, as well as oversee IT network staff in their project work. Such projects may include new branch network installations, new ATM installations and any other new networking products.
• Assist and advise the management regarding new and upgraded technologies
• Responsible for maintaining the IT Network Policy and Procedures manuals and network architecture diagrams
• Responsible for the IT network staff to make sure they carry out their work in an effective and efficient manner and in line with the high expectations set within the ITG section.
• Recommend suppliers and contractors regarding all IT network hardware and software purchases
Who we're looking for
Qualification and Skills:
• Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP networks, servers and network printers
• Familiarity with current networking communications technologies, for example, WIMAX, SHDSL, ATM, Satellite communications etc.
• Repair and troubleshooting skills for LAN, WAN and associated network components
• Ability to research and apply solutions to network problems
• Documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal with ability to provide high customer satisfaction
• Computer Science/Computer Network related degree
• Cisco Certified Accreditation
• Proven track record in the field
