Sales Manager - EMENA

Technical/Industrial

As sales manager you will have overall responsibility for driving volume of new business sales, maintaining profitability and ensuring that repeat business is maintained and improved at approx 70% of current turnover.

- Experience of managing a team is advantageous in order to successfully train and motivate the existing team of 2 internal sales executives, a marketing person, an external sales consultant located in Eastern Europe and co-ordinate the presales activities of 4 - 6 multi lingual technical staff.

- Relationship management skills will be paramount in building and maintaining relationships with the appointed Sales Agents across the region. Motivating and building the Sales Agent network will be key as this Channel represents 50% of current sales and as such is vital to achieving target.
The primary function of the Sales Manager is to manage and improve the existing Business Partner relationships, so as to meet and improve upon the financial and business objectives.

The Sales Manager is also responsible for maximising revenue through the direct sales channels, including the Inside Sales team, and utilising technical pre-sales staff through the creation and management of a team strategy. They will also be responsible for developing plans and strategies to promote the success of channel sales, as well as being responsible for resource allocation and management of channel sales staff.

Successful candidates will have business to business technical/mechanical/industrial background as well as direct sales or indirect sales experience, within a multi-national environment.
The Sales Manager will be comfortable working within a variety of different language and cultural markets, and will be able to demonstrate the skills needed to work alongside the business partner relationships in order to maximise and strengthen those relationships.
Located in the East Midlands the position will require some travel to Business Partners throughout Europe, Middle East and North Africa.

Who we're looking for
Applicants should be of graduate calibre and have the following experiences:

- Selling a product or service business to business into a wide range of countries across EMENA is essential. You must be adept at managing the sales process across a range of cultural differences and be capable of adapting in each circumstance to aid the sales process.

- The right industry culture fit for Gemcom is most likely to be one of a technical background and may well be an engineering or manufacturing profile rather than software.
• Ability to work within a small but driven multicultural team
• Numerate and Computer literate
• ENAME direct sales or indirect sales experience<BR>• Pipeline management using a group wide CRM system
• Experience of the mining industry would be an advantage but not essential
• Experience of recruiting, developing and training partners
• Excellent presentation skills
• English language with other European language skills an advantage but not essential
• A valid work permit for employment in the United Kingdom

The EMENA Division is experiencing a period of strong growth with revenues widely spread throughout the region.

Approximately 50% of its revenues are through an established Business Partner network, the remainder through direct sales channels.
