Growing leisure facilities and services company operating at multi-sites across the UK and Ireland.Services include gym facilities and equipment, swimming pools, crèches, restaurants and bars, hairdressers, spa facilities, as well as functions and social programmes.

The role requires the ability to take ownership of the total spend of over £60m across all sites and departments developing and implementing strategy in direct, indirect and capital expenditure. They are looking for someone to develop a central purchasing function for general areas of spend such as utilities and work with the individual sites and departments to establish best practice and strategy in specialist areas. The role will also consist of supporting the expansion of the business through the construction of new sites within the UK and Ireland.

Who we're looking for
The purchasing manager will have the responsibility of setting up and implementing the purchasing budget, establishing key internal stakeholder relationships and negotiating key contracts. They must be commercially astute and both consultative and able to take a strong lead within the business.
Requirements:
• Background in the development and implementation of purchasing strategy.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation and relationship management.
• Significant knowledge of best practice procurement process and procedure.
• Successfully established and delivered a department budget and KPIs.
• Degree qualification.
• Strong business and commercial knowledge.
