Material Supply Team Leader

As part of the Supply Chain management team, the Material Supply Team Leader will lead, and manage the inbound supply performance, processes and team development.
The key deliverables of the role are to:
• Establish and implement effective and appropriate inbound supply strategies, policies and procedures.
• Embed proactive and constructive relationships across the Plaxton teams.
• Lead educate and develop the material inbound team
• Create professional, commercially robust and effective relationships with supplier base
• Ensure material schedules are released in a timely manner and are actioned by suppliers
• Ensure integrity and control in planning and supply data
• Understand ERP requirements, and implement and utilise the appropriate functionality within the ERP system.
• Lead the implementation of a supplier performance measurement programme which drives improvement.
• Establish and manage stock targets
• Facilitate supplier lead-time reduction programmes and cost down opportunities.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in best practice supply planning, within a manufacturing background, and want to utilise this skill set within a changing, growing business. You will be able to manage and motivate your team and colleagues, adding to a culture where excellence is encouraged, achievement is recognised and success is shared. Exposure to manufacturing methodologies is desirable; more importantly, the successful candidate will have to demonstrate excellent negotiating and communication skills; for both internal and external clients and suppliers. ERP/ MRP skills are a must.
