This role is brand new and has been created to allow for a more focussed HR approach to operations and strategy. Reporting to the on site Head of HR, the Senior HR Advisor role will provide an extra level of support to the business, providing leadership and guidance, whilst allowing the Head of HR to step away from the day to day operations. The Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for the development of the HR officer and provide support to the site production managers. HR is integral to the organisation and is highly valued, this role will continue the positive developments made so far and drive the business forward. The key challenges of the role are:
• Provide advice and coaching to management teams on all employment matters and on the interpretation of Trade Union agreements
• Challenge, coach and support line managers to enable them to implement effective performance and absence management practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with on site Trade Unions
Who we're looking for
This is a demanding and challenging role, but one that is exciting and allows the opportunity to join a progressive HR team. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
• Exposure to a leading role within a unionised manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Understanding of leading a team as well as coaching and mentoring line managers
• Ability to deliver an excellent HR service with evidence of new and creative approaches
• Relationship building skills - particularly with senior managers and Trade Union representatives.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively within a fast paced environment.
• CIPD qualified
