Financial Accountant

Responsible for the management and performance of the Financial Accounts function including Capital, Charitable Funds and Cash Management for the department.
Prepare statutory accounts and monthly returns ensuring these are completed in accordance with the NHS Manual of Accounts, accounting standards and that these are supported by robust working papers and reconciliations that satisfy both internal and external requirements.
Responsible for the performance and development of the outsourced Ordering, Payments and Debtors services to ensure the achievement of key performance indicators including associated balance sheet reconciliations.
Coordinate all Financial Accounting services that operate under a service level agreement and develop relationships with relevant stakeholders.

Who we're looking for
You will be a technically skilled Financial Accountant who is working towards or has a recognised financial qualification (ACA; ACCA; CIMA; CIPFA) who wants to be able to directly apply their skills to guide business decisions and influence direction. The successful candidate is NOT required to have NHS experience and will be able use their initiative to create their own processes in order to achieve the aims of the department. You must be able to communicate with all colleagues who may or may not share your area of expertise and inspire confidence. In return you will be given full training in relating your Financial Accounts experience into the NHS arena and will be offered study support if applicable.

What's on offer
Salary: £28,313 -£35,000 (pay award pending April 1st); Final salary pension with employer contribution of 14%; 27 days holiday + bank holidays.
