Assistant Fund Accountant

• To ensure all departmental processes allocated to staff member operate in a timely manner and in accordance with pre-set deadlines, procedures and set service level standards;

• To ensure Annual and Interim Reports and Financial Statements are produced on a timely and accurate basis for all CFM Collective Investment Schemes and any funds that we provide a third party administration service;

• To liaise with Trustees/Depositaries, Investment Advisers, Auditors, Custodians and other professional bodies;

• To implement agreed improvements to the current procedures and apply to allocated work;

• To ensure all Trustee/Depositary queries are responded to in a timely and accurate manner;

• To assist in ensuring that if breaches occur on funds allocated, that they are properly reported and investigated;

• To support departmental manager initiatives;

• Contribute to projects undertaken to enhance system functionality;

• To assist in the take on of new funds, conversions of funds from unit trusts to OEICs and also the wind up of funds; and assist with ad hoc projects as required; and

• To keep abreast of changes in Regulations and industry practices, in particular the SORP and Taxation changes.

Who we're looking for
Candidate must be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge to be able to prepare accounts on CIS.

Strong reconciliation and accounting skills

A proactive approach to problem solving, logical thinker with a good mathematical background.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Demonstrable experience of working with Excel
