As part of the UK Senior Management Team, you will report directly to the UK Sales Director. You will be expected to develop and implement a sales strategy for a defined national market segment, and for a geographical region by working with and developing the team in order to achieve business growth and maximise margin contribution.
• Act as segment leader for a defined national market segment and be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales strategy for that national segment which will guide regional contribution.
• Develop and implement sales strategy for the defined region to identify where and how sales effort should be concentrated, taking into account national strategy for each market segment.
• Deliver Sales results and contribution to achieve the annual business plan for both regional and national accountabilities.
• Set and manage objectives for the regional team, including profitability awareness and instilling a strong culture of sales growth and contribution, in order to direct their efforts in their own areas of responsibility.
• Define and implement the methods of measuring and monitoring the performance of the regional team to ensure that measured and targeted improvements can be made.
• Coach, develop and motivate team members to ensure they have the necessary competencies and commitment to achieve their business objectives and fulfil their potential.
• Research and enquire continually to ensure that market and customer knowledge is developed for the region and shared internally.
• Monitor and control the budget for the segment and region to ensure that activities and spend deliver an acceptable return.
• Contribute to the Sales & Marketing Management Team Meetings and cascade the process annually to create a regional plan.
Who we're looking for
Experience and evidence of a strong tactical and strategic approach coupled with the ability to set an ambitious agenda and achieve business growth
• Experience of managing and developing a sales team with a solid leadership track record, ideally gained within the interiors industry, including performance management.
• Demonstrates a direct, open, charismatic and convincing communication style with the ability to influence at all levels
• Evidence of working to demanding goals and targets
• Demonstrates clear career progression and a track record of success in sales
