Our client, Hertel, is a leading industrial services company. They require an experienced Financial Controller for the UK Head Office in Middlesbrough.
The main responsibilities include:
• Production of monthly financial reports, including corporate accounts pack.
• Review of margins on contracts and projects, identification of issues which require follow-up.
• Development and reporting of KPI metrics and identification of key trends in the business.
• Management of all aspects of company tax compliance.
• Management of company treasury position, corporate reporting of company cash position and exposure to foreign exchange or other risks.
• Communicate and build relationships with key external and internal parties, including Business Unit Management and the Corporate Finance function
• Year end audit and statutory accounts compliance
Who we're looking for
With a proven track record as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role you will posses the following qualifications, skills and experience:
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
• A strong all round financial background
• Experience in carrying out analysis with high levels of commercial awareness
• Exposure to Pan-European or Global working environments
• Excellent relationship building and provision of advisory services to senior operational management
• Have a demonstrable proactive and flexible approach to work

Hertel is a leading industrial services company that construct, maintain, modify/decommission plants and installations for the Oil & Gas, (petro) Chemical, Process and Power industries. In addition Hertel designs, fabricates and installs specialised technical modular container units for the Marine, Offshore and Defence industries. Worldwide Hertel employs over 7000 people and together they realise an annual turnover of circa €700 million. The UK entity is a key part of the group with a turnover of £140 million. There are clear progression paths in Middlesbrough or Group depending on your specific ambitions.
