Finance Director

Our client is looking to appoint a Finance Director to their senior management team to lead the finance function and to support the Chief Executive. Your role will be a challenging and yet rewarding role for a locally focused organisation.

Duties will include:

• providing strategic financial advice to the Chief Exec, Board and senior management team
• overseeing all routine responsibilities of the finance function including cash management, payroll, insurance, debtors and creditors
• ensuring compliance with ERDF/NWDA and other grant funding requirements
• completing statutory accounts for the company and ensuring that all regulatory requirements and returns are completed
• managing risk and advising the company on action required
• directing the annual business planning and budgeting process
• reviewing financial and accounting systems and implementing improvements
• identifying areas for potential cost reduction

Candidates will need to have the ability to lead and motivate team members and be committed to excellent service delivery. Ideally you will have previous experience of dealing with grant funding although it is not essential.
