This pivotal and high profile role will encompass both technical accounting and commercial business partnering responsibilities and will offer the individual a high profile role in ensuring that the team supports both statutory requirements and commercial decision making. The group structure presents an exciting opportunity to be involved within a complex reporting environment whilst ensuring that there is full exposure to the business operations.
The appointment is viewed by shareholders and management as key to the future succession plan for the department and the right individual can expect rapid progression within the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting and Control, you will:-
• Produce year end statutory and regulatory accounts.
• Build on the development of best in class financial controls.
• Lead the Capital Investment team of 3 people to develop a robust investment appraisal and expenditure forecasting process.
• Deliver monthly cash flow forecast.
• Liaise with the Group Tax and Treasury department and external auditors.
• Liaise with Shared Service providers of accounting functions (payroll, accounts payable etc) for value for money and quality.
• Produce a monthly balance sheet with commentary.
• Support the CFO with financial analysis as required e.g. refinancing bonds, strategic modelling.
Specific Business Partner Responsibilities:
• Assist the current Business Partner for the Directors of Operations (South) with insightful analysis of business performance across 10 sites.
• Provide commercial finance support to the Commercial department.
• Influence the management information reporting processes to improve accuracy and relevance to the business which will directly impact decision making.

What's on offer
£55,000 to £60,000 plus car allowance, bonus, Private Medical Insurance, pension and car parking.
