Transaction Management - Senior Manager - Treasury

You will be a senior member of the dealing team within Transaction Management, with focus on:-
1. Interest Rates risk management
2. Cash Management
3. Added value from effective risk management
4. Non Vanilla ad hoc project work
5. Liaison between Treasury, Retail Market Risk (RMR) and the businesses
6. Staff Development and Training

Transaction Management (75%)
 Provide an execution and advisory service for all Loan & Deposit transactions and manage these positions within predefined DVAR, sensitivity and credit limits
 Ensure all deals priced by TM are correct, entered into the appropriate system and within dealers' limits before being released
 Provision of an execution and advisory service for interest rate swap and other derivative transactions required by Group and the businesses and hedge residual positions within pre- defined limits
 Provision of an execution service for Group and the businesses in respect of foreign exchange transactions
 Co-ordination of management and execution of internal Treasury hedging and funding processes
 Provide advice on risk management issues to other areas of the Group
 Exercise desk control over all IR risk mgt P&L in terms of relationship with the Middle Office

Project Work (15%)
Ad hoc projects, as requested by management.
 Manage/oversee the distribution of tasks and responsibilities amongst team members
Point of contact for other areas of Treasury and the UK Bank TM issues (10%)
 Act as a focal point for TM on issues assigned by Assistant Director Transaction Management. Agree solutions when issues arise with Middle office/back office/hedge accounting and RMR.
Staff Development (10%)
 Ensure all new and existing team members have the skills sets needed to succeed
 Assist in Graduate and other team member training

Who we're looking for
Essential
• Microsoft office (Excel, Word and Access) to advanced level essential for tasks including spreadsheet building to deliver complex pricing solutions
• Excellent problem solving skills
• High level of numeracy
• Ability to make complex issues understandable to non market participants
• Ability to read market data and interpret market sentiment
Preferred
• An awareness of the investment bank's procedures
• Understanding of group procedures and pricing tools
Essential
• External market trading and risk taking background, with well developed understanding of market risks and moves,
Preferred
 A numerate degree.
