Communications Manager

You will develop and implement a proactive communications strategy and effectively manage Cranfield's communications. Sitting within the marketing services team of the University's Business Development Organisation, you will be a key contact for all internal and external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:
- Leading a team to achieve proactive management of the University's communications messages.
- Managing the communications team to ensure all media including press, editorial, web, advertising and publications are professional, consistent and reinforce brand position.
- Writing and editing proactive and reactive press releases and copy for a range of media.
- Managing communications issues associated with brand risk.
- Ongoing development of pan-University collateral such as Annual Review, Prospectus etc.

Who we're looking for
With a strong strategic communications and press office background at managerial level, you will have knowledge of media planning across several key sectors, and an in-depth understanding of press office and copywriting functions. You will work with the individual school's marketing teams, to promote the University as a whole. With a proven track record in change management, you will be a competent decision maker and creative thinker with the capacity to use your initiative and influence at all levels.
