Sourcing Manager

This exciting new opportunity will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the company's Procurement Strategy.
Key responsibilities will include:-
• Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers
• Identification and development of new opportunities in line with group strategy
• Conduct and support supplier meetings
• Monitor supply performance with regard to quality, quantity and price
• Manage stock control and forecasting
• Commercial negotiations with suppliers

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be degree qualified or equivalent and posses excellent communication and listening skills. They will also have the ability to work alone as well as part of a team and possess a 'can do' attitude. Strong purchasing and negotiation skills are a given, but due to the variety of the supply base a flexible and varied approach is essential. A key driver for this role is the identification of new suppliers and developing these suppliers to increase volume. Strong commercial and business development skills are therefore very important. Due to the nature of the role a willingness to travel is important, however this will normally be within a specific UK region with occasional international travel. Depending upon the region covered a home based role is offered.
