Business Performance Manager

Hanson is one of the largest suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry, with their Scottish HQ being based in Stirling. Reporting directly into the Regional Director of Scotland and working closely with the UK Senior Management team, you will be responsible for providing analysis to support business improvement decisions, covering all aspects of business performance including commercial, operational and logistics functions. Your remit will cover:

• To deliver appropriate commercial analysis to support the regional business, including market, product and geographical analysis.
• To provide analytical support to sales strategy, including pricing and value analysis.
• To deliver appropriate operational analysis to support the regional business, including operational excellence initiatives, productivity and plant performance KPI's.
• To deliver appropriate customer service analysis to the regional business, including connecting the operational measurements with customer service objectives.
• To understand and interpret the process flows within the regional business to improve productivity and deliver additional value, including materials flows (sourcing) and customer delivery logistics.
• To support the regional team through interpretation of Performance KPI's, Business metrics and management information.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be qualified [CIMA or equivalent] but we will consider applications from strong part-qualified. First and foremost, you will demonstrate a high degree of commerciality, ideally gained from having operated in a similar role. You will be familiar with working alongside and supporting senior non-finance professionals and be looking for an opportunity that offers progression and longevity.

Substantial analytical and problem solving skills are essential and previous experience of working in an autonomous role that requires initiative is highly advantageous. Relevant experience of working within the construction/B2B industry is an attractive quality, but not essential

What's on offer
Basic salary of £35-£40k [dependant on experience] plus car allowance, private health care, pension and bonus.
