The purpose of this role as Category Insights Manager is to provide meaningful data and recommendations that enable sales and customer marketing teams to develop commercial strategies that increase United Biscuits' presence in store. You will produce category rationales that enable successful implementation of brand marketing initiatives and you will be responsible for translating insights into meaningful information that will affect brand strategy.
You will liaise with all other commercial functions in the business including sales and marketing teams. You will analyse customer performance down to brand level as well as looking at consumer behaviour and demographics from a branding perspective. In essence it will be your job to be the expert on the United Biscuits brands within key and defined market channels.
This role is predominantly dealing with internal customers however you will be dealing externally with key stakeholders at retail customers. You will be using Nielsen and TNS data as well as retail sales data to create meaningful and influential commercial reports.

Who we're looking for
You will be a Commercial Insights professional or Salesperson who is comfortable with deriving meaningful insights from sales and market data. You will be comfortable analysing data such as TNS, IRI or Nielsen and making recommendations that will assist in setting commercial strategies.
Your experience of Category Management or Insights will mean that you can credibly present to internal and external customers and be confident in making recommendations to them on brand and sales strategies. You will also be able to deal with the data agencies to ensure that the data you are receiving is correct and up-to-date.
