Responsibility for the corporation tax compliance of non-life companies in the Life business unit:
- Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns ready for manager signature
- Monitoring and review of claims and elections to ensure relevant claims are made on a timely basis
- Calculation and management of quarterly payments on account of corporation tax
- Preparation of responses to Inland Revenue queries, liaison with other departments as necessary, amendment of prior year computations and reconciliation of prior year adjustments
Provide tax support to business projects and corporation tax advice to the business as required
Work with Life Finance team to produce the tax disclosures for IAS reporting and UK Statutory accounts. Responsible for overseeing the tax position in the balance sheet and ensuring tax accounts are maintained on an annual basis
Provision of transfer pricing advice
Provide support and coaching to Corporation Tax Assistant
Predominantly a compliance based role which is related to ensuring that the group companies are compliant, it will also have an international focus so there will be a good element of Transfer pricing and awareness of tax implications of new legislation. There will also be a good level of advisory which would center around adhoc queries and providing support to specific business projects.

ACA/ATII qualification required With at least 2 years corporate tax experience
