You will report directly to the FD, with responsibility for taking accounts to trial balance, issue relevant Financial Reports on all Theatre Operations including Management Accounts, and be responsible for the efficient and effective day to day running of the Accounts department.

Who we're looking for
• Qualified Accountant
• Able to demonstrate your ability to take responsibility, work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
• Professional approach to work of Accounts department.
• At least 5 years experience of working to trial balance level.
• Experience of Job Costing
• Demonstrable Staff Management experience<BR>• Excellent team worker and ability to lead staff
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Willingness to embrace change
• Excel skills - report writing from Access/downloading to Excel
• Proficiency in the use of Word and Outlook.
• Computer Literate: the Theatre's Accounting system is Access Dimensions and this post requires the post holder to learn and use both. The Theatre's box office system is Blackbaud and Events Management System is Artifax.
• Numerate and literate

Desirable:
• Interest in working in the Arts
• Charity Accounting Experience•
Daily duties include:-
• Monthly Bank reconciliation.
• Monthly reconciliation of all Wage related control accounts.
• Monthly closure of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger including reconciliation of control accounts.
• Monthly update of Fixed Asset register including posting of depreciation.
• Monthly reconciliation of Prepayments and Accruals,
