The firm act for marine insurers, shipowners, ship managers, shipbuilders, ship repairers, chatterers', commodity traders, marine suppliers, and many others within the shipping industry. Much of the work is contentious in nature, however there is scope to handle a broad mixture of non contentious and contentious work.
The most common types of dispute handled by the firm are cargo claims, charter party disputes, sale and purchase disputes, admiralty matters and disputes arising out of the construction and repair of vessels.
Who we're looking for
You will be a Solicitor who may have recently qualified or comes with some years. Shipping experience is not essential, however you will have strong academics and be prepared to work in the North East.
