Littlewoods Shop Direct are recruiting a Head of Merchandising for Home. This is a pivotal position that sits within the Home & Leisure division. This is an exciting time to join this organisation given the growth of their online offer. With the launch of new online categories within Home this Season, the opportunities for growth are endless. This is a complex business where you will be dealing with products in the catalogues, online and in the numerous promotional offers that run throughout the year. You will report directly into the Director of Merchandising for Home & Leisure and you will have close contact with the Buying Director and Trading Director. You will be responsible for a team of 5 Merchandisers, and indirectly for 14 Assistant Merchandisers.

Who we're looking for
A driven and motivated Head of Merchandising or Merchandise Controller, you can demonstrate a exemplary track record of achieving an excellent merchandising department. You are up for a challenge, keen to progress your career, and would relish joining a business experiencing a period of change.
• You must be able to demonstrate evidence of strong management skills within Merchandising. You can manage a complex business, manage change, and you have had accountability for the P&L for a Category. Strong leadership is also essential in this role.
• Your background in Merchandising has been gained within a Retail, Mail-Order or Online business.
• You can demonstrate your commercial focus and contributions at a strategic level with examples.
• You have exceptional analytical skills.
• You are technically well developed in supply chain management.
• Your expertise combines both merchandise planning and trading skills.
• You have excellent interpersonal skills.
