My client is based in Middlesbrough and is looking for an interim financial accountant to support the finance function throughout a maternity leave.
Key tasks will include:
• To assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of the annual budget
• To provide monthly variance analysis reporting (costs)
• To ensure that the Department is compliant with Company requirements with regard to risk management procedures, controls and reporting
• To assist in ensuring the accounts are produced in line with current statutory requirements and ensure that the Finance Section is kept technically up to date
• To prepare draft annual tax returns
• To ensure the quarterly VAT returns are completed
• To ensure written procedures are developed and kept up to date
• To ensure all departmental expenses are paid as required
• To ensure all cheque payments are made
• To ensure all bank account reconciliations are completed
