Paddy Power, a leading and innovative retail brand in their market are now looking to expand. Due to this they have the requirements for a world class area manager to lead this expansion from the ground. This is a truly exciting role allowing the successful person the chance to shape the growth and success of this organisation within Greater London. It is essential that you are commercially aware ,with the ability to understand complex business issues and plan ahead accordingly.
As the area manager it will be your job to create business development opportunities within your market place, continuously growing market share. It will also be expected of you to create a team environment where the growth and development of individuals within each shop will be an integral part of the business, further increasing the strength of the company.

Areas of responsibilities will include:

• Plan, prepare and present annual budget, then implement and monitor agreed budget.
• Use all available technology to establish business issues and develop plans to resolve
• Review Area large staking customers on regular basis, focusing on service standards and trading arrangements.
• Develop business links within the local community.
• Develop links with Head Office functional managers.
• Take responsibility for personal development.
• Take responsibility for the recruitment and performance standards of area team.
• Provide direction and leadership to area team.
• Conduct monthly business review covering all shops and agree action plans, coaching as appropriate.
• Take personal responsibility for ensuring that effective communication exists throughout the Area.
• Ensure that good communication practices are clearly identified and implemented.
• Review and monitor security systems and procedures within shops to ensure maximum protection of the company's assets.
• Ensure Area conforms to health and safety monitoring standards designed to protect staff health at work. Take action where there is a need for reasonable adjustments to be made.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a proven retail area manager based within the London region. You will be retail savvy and have a track record of operating multiple sites, financial forecasting and management, and people development. You will be able to build a team culture which is both supportive and commercially aware.
