Packaging Technologist

Due to continued business growth, a new role has been created to focus on providing packaging expertise to the business in the UK, and to partner with our global packaging teams. This is a critical role to ensure the Nutricia product is presented on shelf in the most cost effective, attractive way and inline with legislative requirements to reduce packaging. The key elements of the role will be to:

• Ensure all packaging is fit for purpose and in line with cost and quality parameters
• Develop relationships with key suppliers
• Project manage both renovation of existing product packaging and innovation with regard to packaging for new product development.
• Manage cross functional relationships with Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain and Manufacturing
• Provide subject matter expertise to the business for retail ready packaging
• Keep abreast of Industry best practice and apply these principles within Nutricia.

Who we're looking for
The ideal person for this role will already be working with packaging. There is flexibility with regard to the depth of exposure so this role could suit an experienced graduate looking to expand their career in this area, or someone who has been operating within packaging for some time. Analytically strong, with the ability to think strategically where required, your background could be with a supplier, retailer or packaging manufacturer, with FMCG knowledge a real advantage. The role also requires a hands-on approach, strong analytical ability and numerical aptitude, together with the accuracy and precision to handle the day-to-day co-ordination of the detail of multiple projects.
