The HR Manager will report to the Managing Director of the Logistics business in the Warrington area. A newly-created position in a growing business, this is a real and rare chance to make your mark. You will be responsible for the set-up of the HR function in its entirety, from contracts to policies and procedures as well as ensuring that all the day-to-day HR and H&S needs of the business are cared for. Furthermore this is one of a group of 4 companies that come under an umbrella group, the others being based in the South and Scotland. You will also be responsible for the HR needs of these other businesses and travel to the other sites will be required. If you seek a real challenge, autonomy, a chance to make your mark and shape HR in your own vision but are not afraid of some hard work then this is the ideal role.
Who we're looking for
You will:
• Have experience of the full HR generalist remit;
• Be qualified, or prepared to become qualified, in H&S;
• Be ready to drive HR in a multi-site business and be prepared for the travel involved;
• Have experience of recruiting and redundancies;
• Have the ambition to grow with the business;
• Know how to implement an effective performance development review for all employees;
• Be comfortable with combining a hands-on approach with longer-term policy planning.
