Senior HR Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this international media brand based in London. Reporting into the Director of Human Resources you will act as a business partner to a designated client group providing support on operational issues and overseeing HR administration as well as informing and challenging senior management thinking. You will also provide mentoring and guidance for more junior members of the team.

Key responsibilities will include

• Providing a proficient HR service in terms of day to day HR advice and support for all levels within the designated client groups. This will include developing close working relationships with the business unit heads and line managers.
• Managing and advising on policy, process and employment law.
• Assistance in the recruitment and selection process in conjunction with the appropriate line manager.
• Working with the Head of Learning & Development to help manage and fulfil development needs within designated client groups.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with the HR Director in continuously improving the HR service on offer to the business - this will include implementing new initiatives
• Assisting in change management initiatives including acquisitions and outsourcing
• Assisting in the development and running of management development and training workshops as required
• Deputising for the HR Director as necessary.
• Ad-hoc project work as required

Who we're looking for
This company is fast-paced and creative with a constantly changing working environment. It will require an individual who will have proven experience working at HR Manager/Senior HR Advisor level and who is CIPD qualified. The position will require demonstrable experience of personally running performance management, grievance, disciplinary and redundancy procedures as well as a good knowledge of employment law. You will have a high level of diplomacy required to work with a challenging and creative client base. Experience of change management and TUPE is also essential as well as proven experience of working with a sophisticated HR database.
