An opportunity has arisen in the Interest Rate Drafting Team within Derivatives Operations, reporting to the Interest Rate Drafting manager in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual, who has either a sound understanding of structured products, drafting procedures and systems or a graduate with a real desire to learn about products and systems looking to make a strong impact within documentation.

Principal Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and approving the complex structured interest rate derivative contracts
- Tailoring templates to enable STP and streamline to minimize manual intervention
- Understand and actively mitigate operational risks related to all aspects of this business
- Focus on process improvement and increased efficiency, are managed at the same time as maximising control.
- Create an Influence on the team's daily interaction with sales and trading - development of relationships to strengthen the team's involvement in new products.
- Working with Technology to drive efficiencies in the process.

Who we're looking for
- Working knowledge of of ISDA definitions would be beneficial
- Introductory / Good knowledge of derivative products including vanilla and exotic interest rate products
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external clients.
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Ability to drive forward continued improvement and new challenges, both on a business and personal level
- Able to handle day-to-day routine as well as cope with shifting priorities and changing responsibilities to meet business needs and demands.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to analyse issues and see them through to conclusion
- Ability to deliver while working under pressure and to tight deadlines
