As a result a BRAND NEW role has been created for a Finance Manager.

Based in Bolton and working with the company directors the Finance Manager will provide financial expertise and direction for the retail business units whilst undertaking the set up of new financial processes in line with the organisation.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• The preparation of monthly management and financial reporting
• To monitor, challenge and measure the performance of both forecourt and newsagent outlets
• The production of all business analysis, including KPI's and trends
• Maintain all balance sheet controls and ensure the implementation and maintenance of operational controls
• Key involvement in budgeting and forecasting to meet company requirements
• Maintain accurate and strong control of company cash flow and forecasts

The ability to convey ideas and influence processes to conclusion are paramount to successful performance within this role. Working with the individual business managers to deliver improved margins, developing meaningful management information and preparing pre and post investment appraisal for all capital expenditure, are just some of the challenges the successful applicant will face.

Who we're looking for
Are you a motivated self starter? Do you enjoy interaction with people, finance and non-finance alike? Do you have a demonstrable track of working autonomously whilst still working as part of a team? Have you worked within an environment which embraces change?

As the successful candidate, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a background preferably within the retail industry. With the gravitas to communicate at all levels of management and board you will be tenacious, resilient and unyielding in your approach to business management. The ability to influence situations to successful conclusion will be paramount combined with the ability to apply an analytical mind set.
