Multi-national retail company looking for a successful senior buyer reporting directly into the procurement manager to help develop the purchasing department. Take ownership of £30m total category spend and demonstrate significant cost savings through, negotiation, rationalisation of existing suppliers and the ability to pioneer and implement global strategic sourcing. Build key stakeholder relationships internal departments including sales to increase the influence and efficiency of the procurement department within the business.

Who we're looking for
Outstanding senior buyer with a strong background in retail purchasing.

• Proven track record in negotiation with both suppliers and key internal stakeholders.
• Significant knowledge of leading procurement processes and strategies.
• Demonstrated cost savings and supplier rationalisation.
• Pioneered and successfully implemented UK and global sourcing strategy.
• Commercial knowledge of the retail industry.
• Degree and CIPS preferred.
