Thresher Group, the UK's leading independent specialist drinks retailer is looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join them in their Hertfordshire office

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and driven Systems Analyst to join a market leading organisation with a great working environment.

This role will involve working closely with the Finance Systems Manager to deliver critical business information and commercial analysis to support the business in their decision making as well as improving financial awareness and control within the business and working with the wider finance team to deliver first class financial information. Thresher Group is currently in the process of implementing a full SAP platform and is therefore looking for a candidate with an understanding and working knowledge of SAP BW/BI. The role holder will take on the role of 'super user' and will be tasked with providing all levels of the business with support and advice regarding finance systems functionality and capability under the guidance of the Finance Systems Manager.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Finance Systems Manager to develop finance system applications to ensure relevant and accurate data is accessible to the finance team in a timely manner.
• Developing and supporting company budgeting and forecasting using TM1
• Ensuring weekly trading reports are produced and issued in a timely manner
• Assisting the Finance Systems Manager in ensuring robust procedures are embedded to prevent data integrity issues and data irregularities.
• Assisting the Finance Systems Manager in providing basic training on finance reporting systems to the user community.
• Ad hoc projects working with the Finance Systems Manager.

This role will be a business facing role dealing with both internal and external parties and will therefore require excellent communication skills.

Who we're looking for
To be successful in this role you must:

• Possess strong numerical skills and experience with systems analysis.
• Have working experience and a good understanding of SAP BW/BI
• Be a proven self-starter
• Excellent Excel skills
• Knowledge of VBA
• Have the ability to communicate at all levels
• Ensure the end solution meets business and customer needs

An understanding of finance would be advantageous as would experience using TM1 or Hyperion.
