Royal British Legion Industries is a charity close to the nation's heart and plays a vital role in providing our disabled workforce with employment both internally as well as through their Employment Solutions division. The RBLI facility in Leatherhead is part of the Manufacturing division and employs approximately 30 disabled people dedicated to fulfilment, packaging & assembly as well as direct mail and digital printing. Their objective is simple - to operate as a commercial enterprise providing quality products for a diverse customer base. Poised for the next phase of expansion, the potential at Leatherhead is great and the Sales Manager will have responsibility for maximising this potential and turning it into tangible results. This coupled with a clear emphasis on Customer Relationship Management ensures that RBLI develop strong and sustainable business links with regional and national organisations to increase both sales and market share.

This role will have responsibility for managing all operational business activity, including systems implementation, administration, management and all related tasks as required by the Director of Manufacturing, in line with the policies, procedures and aims of RBLI. This role requires strong leadership, an understanding of how to translate strategic aims into practical implementation and a pragmatic hands-on approach.

Who we're looking for
• Successful, results orientated Sales Manager with experience in Marketing & Operations.
• Experience of growing sales and providing a quality service for customers.
• Ability to lead and motivate staff, allowing for their different levels of ability and training and developing them in their work.
• A thorough understanding of production methods and processes.

About our client
RBLI is an independent organisation and is a leader in its field in providing employment and development for disabled people and support for ex-Service men and women. RBLI employs 400 people, places over 2000 disabled people in external employment and supports over 500 people each year. RBLI's three divisions comprise the Manufacturing Division based at Aylesford and Leatherhead, the Employment Solutions Division and the Welfare, Healthcare & Housing Division. The manufacturing activities include rail, where RBLI is Network Rail's preferred supplier, and highway signage, disposable pallets, assembly, direct mail and packing.
