As the company continues to grow, the Finance Director is increasingly involved in more strategic and operational work, which has resulted in this new role being created. As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the the Accounts department.
The Finance Manager will report to the Finance Director and manage a team of six.
Key accountabilities
Main Activities:
1. Ensure all cash transactions are promptly and accurately recorded.
2. Ensure reconciliations are prepared monthly on all accounts.
3. Follow-up reconciling items not cleared.
4. Ensure VAT is charged appropriately on the firm's billings.
5. Ensure bills are promptly and accurately processed.
6. Ensure the firm's expenditures are accurately recorded and analysed.
7. Prepare analyses of income and expenditures as required.
8. Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial statements.
9. Provide advice, support and training for other members of the Accounts team.
10. Provide advice on accounting issues to other departments
As this is a new role, in a rapidly expanding company, there will plenty of scope to shape the role to suit your experience and aspirations, as well as becoming involved in some operational and strategic issues.

Who we're looking for
Applications are welcome from qualified accountants (or qualified by experience) with experience of managing (or assistant-managing) an accounts team. Previous experience of business services and/or partnerships would be advantageous, whilst proficiency in use of time billing and recording systems, and a working knowledge of VAT are
required.
