You will work within team of 10 and under the supervision of a partner. This team has a proven track record in defending high value obstetrics, paediatrics and neurosurgical claims and are looking for an additional team member.

The department also deals with defendant personal injury claims relating to fatal accidents, catastrophic injuries, rehabilitation, employer liability, product liability, sport injuries, aviation injuries, occupational stress, repetitive strain, occupational cancers, new diseases, notice including loss and severe road traffic accidents. The clients include leading insurance companies and corporate clients.
You will mainly dealing with a caseload of employers' liability claims including some asbestos litigation. You will be obtaining and drafting pleadings, witness statements and letters of response, conducting face to face negotiations and mediation of claims as well as preparing counter schedules of damages in high value claims.

Who we're looking for
An assistant personal injury solicitor from a well recognised firm. Ideally you will:
• Have gained good experience of high value defendant personal injury work
• Have a passion for injury litigation
You will be a confident communicator with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels. The successful candidate will be commercially minded and results driven, with the ability to see legal issues within the client's broader operating environment.
Some experience of disease litigation would also be an advantage.
