This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a market-leading Global company in a commercial and business-facing role. Reporting into the Divisional Financial Controller [who is based in Glasgow] you will be managing the finances of companies worldwide that comprise the V.Group Manpower Services, the largest division within the V.Group. Your remit will cover:
• Reviewing, consolidating and analysing the monthly management accounts
• Budgeting, forecasting and establishing good working relationships and communication links
• Looking into continuous improvement re the financial and accounting procedures
• Ensuring greater efficiency, control and profitability
• Controlling and manipulating non-financial data relevant to the business
• Working alongside 3 other Management Accountants to ensure consistency is being applied across the Group
This is a hands-on, self-starting role that requires someone who has advanced excel skills. The success of this position depends on your ability to understand the heart of the business operations you will be working with. For that reason, world-wide travel will be required on a monthly basis [circa 5 days].
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be driven and self motivated, with excellent communication skills and a real desire to add value. Coming from an industry background, you will be an experienced Management Accountant, who has first-class analytical skills.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deal effectively and create productive relationships with people from cross-disciplines and cross-cultures. You will have a strong desire to travel the world and be comfortable operating in an ever-evolving environment. You must have advanced Excel (inc. VBA) and possess comprehensive system skills.
A professional qualification [i.e. CIMA, ACCA, CA or equivalent] is preferable but not essential.
