Group Internal Auditor
Key Responsibilities
• To execute a structured audit methodology, ensuring that internal controls, risk
management and regulatory compliance are adequately maintained
• To manage and perform assignments in accordance with the prioritised audit plan that
will ensure a rolling program of reviews is conducted in line with the risk they present to
the business
• To perform audit procedures, including conducting interviews, maintaining
documenting of audit evidence, processes and procedures, reviewing and analysing
evidence, and performing tests as necessary
• To identify and define issues and provide the business with pragmatic, commercial and
clearly presented recommendations
• To assist in the planning of individual audits including risk assessment activities,
defining the terms of engagement and developing the detailed work programme
• To develop and maintain open, co-operative relationships with key business contacts.
• To assist with administration of the risk register and ensure that it is subject to the
appropriate updates, reviews and stakeholder involvement.

• Excellent presentation skills to deliver concise messages to senior management
• Confident to make informed decisions that are supported by logical analysis and
interpretation
• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking
• Proactive approach to projects with the judgement to consult where required
• Excellent report writing techniques
• Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills to optimise personal
productivity
• Sound level of commercial acumen.

• Confident and able to communicate at all levels
• Able to see the issues while demonstrating good attention to detail
• Flexible and outgoing
• Able to manage own projects and deliver high quality work to deadlines
• Able to fit in and be part of the team.
Knowledge:
• A sound knowledge of current risk based audit techniques
• Familiarity with the principles and practical application of a structured risk management
approach
• Appreciation of current corporate governance requirements.
Qualifications:
• Qualified accountant (ACA or significant relevant qualification)
• European languages (German ideally for at least one, French).
