Site Logistics Specialist

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will act as a champion for materials management initiatives in the production environment, with responsibility for optimising material and information flows for production. They will also:

• Provide a single point of contact for the site to understand issues with material control, usage, flow and presentation. Generate corrective measures and drive root cause resolution using the data.
• Lead the implementation of the new systems on the site.
• Measure the performance of every supply channel and drive improvement activities accordingly.
• Integrate with NPI and Product Change process to prepare material handling areas and processes for new lines. Manage run-in and run-out.
• Create the conditions for further improvements to manufacturing efficiency through load presentation.

Who we're looking for
Ideally of graduate calibre, you will have a working knowledge across supply chain disciplines and have demonstrated success in process re-engineering involving the practical application of lean techniques in a manufacturing environment.
A self starter capable of working with a minimum of supervision you will also be able to function effectively within cross functional teams. Strong IT skills coupled with exposure to MRP systems is also a necessity.
