This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the Honeywell Life Safety business to continually improve its manufacturing processes. The role offers significant training and development opportunities combined with excellent scope for progression within the Honeywell group. Your primary responsibilities will be:
• Providing support to team leaders and production staff to ensure issues that reduce production output are dealt with quickly and effectively.
• Delivering projects that increase output, support NPI, reduce costs, develop standardised work and incorporate other lean manufacturing principles.
• Ensure HSE policies are implemented and adhered to.
• Represent the manufacturing engineering team in liaising with other departments such as design, product management and technical support as well as external suppliers and service engineers.
Who we're looking for
A proven Manufacturing Engineer with experience of working within a medium volume, high mix product environment, you will bring a new dimension to the team. Your skill set should include the following:
• The ability to identify and resolve production issues effectively through utilising available resources and incorporating the views of the production team.
• An excellent understanding of lean manufacturing ideally six sigma qualified or a lean expert.
• Daily support to the production team to ensure that targets are met.
• Preferably degree qualified in an electrical or electronics related subject.

What's on offer
A basic salary of between £30,000 and £35,000 plus package.
