Assistant Retail Operations Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with English Heritage in a unique retail function, initially on a 12 month contract.

As assistant retail operations manager, you will cover the south east of England and will be responsible for implementing excellent systems and process, offering advice on best practise and will undertake various training and event management programs.

Overseeing some of the most beautiful and historically important locations in the UK, including Dover Castle and Osborne House,your role will be to work with the existing teams, provide support with visual merchandising, stock control and bring a commercial eye to the business.

Who we're looking for
Ideally with multi-site experience, or knowledge of the heritage retail sector, you will be self-motivated and enjoy the challenges of multi-site retailing.

You will have a passion for service and standards, be a natural leader and motivator and be commercial in your approach. You will have experience of budget control, and be able to plan for both the short and long term.

Frequent overnight stays and weekend work are required, but this is a unique opportunity to leave the high street behind and join a business that you can influence and feel part of their success.

What's on offer
A base salary of £23,000 plus car and 28 days holiday, plus monument pass which allows you and your family to free entry to all monuments in the care of English Heritage.
