This position is based in Reading and as akey member of the Accounting team your primary role will be to prepare accounts for several European countries including France and Belgium with support of other accountants in the European team
Responsibilities willinclude-
• Management of day to day accounting for France, as well as other European Entities
• Ensuring that General Ledger entries are properly recorded in line with the accounting standards and ensure that local accounting standards can be accommodated.
• Sub-ledgers are closed in line with the global timetable and comprehensive reconciliations are produced for all the Balance Sheet accounts.
• Preparation and review of the month end accounts with prior consolidation with the manager in line with the global timetable.
• Fixed Asset maintenance and reconciliations
• VAT Returns and reconciliations
• Inter company reconciliations
• Assist in all financial audits and preparation of the reconciliations from US GAAP management accounts to the local statutory accounts.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will ideally be at part-qualified/finalist level of CIMA / ACCA or qualified by experience. You should have experience managing non UK accounts, able to speak fluent French, with proficient Excel skills. Knowledge of Lawson Accounting system would be an advantage. You should possess excellent analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.
