Solicitor required to join leading Birmingham practice to advise on all aspects of Intellectual Property including patents, trade marks, copyright, designs and confidentiality. The successful candidate would be responsible for advising on a broad range of intellectual property related work including:
• agreements
• brand audits
• exploitation
• joint ventures
• licences
• sharing
As well as, more specifically, advising on the registration and clearance of Patents, Trade marks, design rights etc
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor, or a trainee about to qualify who has:
• A genuine interest in, and commitment to, specialising in intellectual property work
• Experience of handling a range contentious and non-contentious work during training or post qualification
• Demonstrable experience of advising on patent work
• An sound understanding of the principles of intellectual property work
• An ability to analyse and report on complex technical issues and to identify key issues
It would be advantageous if the successful applicant had some relevant technical / scientific qualification or experience, but this is not essential.
