As Head of Legal, you will have overall responsibility for the legal team, working collaboratively to identify and solve critical path issues, and enable the business to move forward. The company is part of a global network companies with a prestigious banking brand, and you will be working on high-profile legal work with a multijurisdictional outlook. While the initial opportunity is acting as Head of the legal function for the In-House Investment Management branch of the company, you will be operating as part of the Channel Islands Legal team, reporting to the overall Head of Legal. There will also be opportunities for further progression within this company, and with involvement in other Group projects. Basic responsibilities will include handling local regulatory issues, drafting & concluding fund-related agreements, and resolving related company secretarial issues.
Who we're looking for
• Candidates MUST be Guernsey-qualified advocates, with a strong history of banking/financial services law, either in a private practice or in-house.
• You should have a proven track record of managing a team, with exposure to multijurisdictional transactions.
