The role is to support the Divisional Surveyor in the development and Commercial Management of Procure 21 NHS projects for the Simons Group.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop, grow and assist in directing the Commercial Division in the winning and delivering of NHS projects.
Key tasks and activities in this role are as follows:
• Commercial Strategy - Evaluate the proposed T+C's of the contract to identify, cost and mitigate risk. Also review all contract documentation.
• Project Delivery - Agree and review the surveying plan and contract forecasts, whilst ensuring suppliers are procured and paid in line with the company directive. Management of surveyors to prepare valuations and process payments, including the review of the Cost Value Reconciliation. Manage all surveyors to prepare final accounts.
• Monitor and Control Contract Cost - Contribute to the management of key account and divisional business planning and budgeting. Also, to ensure that financial information is prepared and reported concisely and accurately at intervals required by the division.
• Develop Teams and Individuals - Assist in the formation of the project teams, including reviewing and appraising surveying employees.
• Manage and Build Relationships - Establish and maintain relationships internally and externally.
Who we're looking for
Reporting to the Divisional Surveyor of Simons Group, you will have held a similar position of responsibility and have a proven track record as a Commercial Manager within the Construction industry.
Experience required:
• Commercial Management of construction projects.
• Relevant qualifications.
• Delivery of NEC Contracts.
• Background in delivering projects from £3m+
• Bid Management, to manage the bid performance and to achieve a robust guaranteed maximum price.
• Preparation of business cases.
• Procure 21, PFI or LIFT background preferred but not essential.
In addition to these responsibilities you will need to have the drive and determination to help develop and grow this revenue stream for the organisation, which in turn will provide the opportunity for career advancement.

What's on offer
Total remuneration will be £70,00 to £75,000 dependent on experience.
